Talan's birthday with Aunt Cindy

On Tuesday, we went to Chuck E Cheese to have lunch and play games. After we played I think every game, we went to have ice cream at Marble Slab. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed the afternoon.

Talan's 5th birthday weekend

On Friday we went to see Alix to get Talan's haircut. He got the MVP treatment for his birthday.

I did this to Talan's room on Sunday before he woke up. He thought it was pretty crazy. Kendall wouldn't go anywhere near it. It was pretty funny.

On Sunday, we had a soccer game before the party. The boys won 16-5. Talan said before the game that he would score 5 goals. He did just that. The team played great.
After the soccer game, we rushed over to Pump It Up. Everyone always has such a great time when we come here. I don't have to clean up anything and there are people paid to help me. I always appreciate the help when I have a gathering, but it's nice for my guests to enjoy themselves as well. So, this is a nice treat for everyone. Here are some pictures of our fun afternoon.

We are so thankful to all of our friends and family that came to celebrate our little boy. It has been a very quick 5 years. Happy birthday Talan!

I remember this saying being in my room when I was little. Maybe it was burned into my head. I think this is why I have always been so laid back with my kids. People used to tell me not to hold my babies all the time, that it would spoil them. Really? Isn't it my job to spoil them and make them feel safe? I held my babies, alot. I let my babies sleep with me. People looked at me like I was crazy. But now, here I am with a 5 year old. Soon he won't want to cuddle with me, lay in my bed, hug me, or be around me. I will soak it all up while I can.

I'm not sure I can really put into words what I am feeling right now. 5 amazing years have flown by and I am not sure where my baby has gone. I will never forget the day we found out about you. I will never foreget the day we found out you would be Talan. I will definitely never forget the day you graced up and all the wonderful people who shared it with us. You have always brought joy and excitement to us and everyone around you. We have watched you grow into an amazing big brother, an awesome soccer player, and a wonderful young boy. Mommy and Daddy love you more than words can say. Please don't ever forget that.
In the last year, we had Kendall's 1st birthday. We met your cousin Audrey. We celebrated Amira's birthday. We spent a lot of time at the lake. In June, Mommy and Daddy celebrated being married 5 years. Jayme and Jeremy had your cousin Juliet in November. Ashley and Jay had your cousin Charlie in December. We went to Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate Parker's 2nd birthda. We had a white Christmas for the first time in many years. We went to Florida for Daddy's football game. While we were there, we went to Disney World with Grammy and Papa. We celebrated your 5th birhday at Pump it Up on Sunday, March 17th with tons of family and great friends.
