Robson Ranch shower

On Sunday, September 23, we attended Juliet's shower that Jeremy's members were throwing them.  They did an outstanding job. Jayme and Jeremy are very lucky to have this done for them. The decorations were great, food was yummy, and they made out like bandits on gifts. They had a "smell the poop" game that Joanna won. She got a scentsy warmer. They did a diaper raffle for a wine goodies basket. They had a clothespin game. If anyone said baby someone could take a pin. At the end, whoever had the most pins won a bottle of champagne. I was so happy Kendall and I were able to attend this awesome event for Juliet.

Soccer Sunday

We had our first game of the season on Sunday. All 7 boys returning have been playing with us for at least 2 seasons now. The team we played today had to be new to this division.  The boys on the other team kept getting in the box which resulted in us shooting many penalty kicks. Too bad we couldn't make many of them. That is something we will definitely be practicing. We ended up winning the game 9-0.  Talan scored 3 goals.

Cirque du Soleil

On Saturday, September 22 Randy and I had a date night. We took the kids to David and Melinda's for the evening.  We had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Dallas. It was a little disappointing. Randy had blackened salmon and I had a steak. I know better than to order a steak from somewhere other than Roadhouse, but they didn't have anything else. After dinner we headed to see Cirque du Soleil Kooza. They had the big tents set up in the Reunion Arena parking lot. It was an amazing show well worth the money. I liked the story line. It was about a boy who receives a package with a mysterious and magical ring leader that takes him into a dream world filled with amazing acrobats. I would highly recommend seeing the show.

Picnic

On Wednesday the weather was absolutely beautiful, so the kids and I had lunch on the front porch. The kids had lunchables. I had a turkey sandwich.

I made Kendall a new soccer dress for this season. It actually looks girly this time.  We love yogurtville. I might not be able to get Talan to eat food, but man does that kid shut up for ice cream.

Muffin mess

So, I was making blueberry muffins one day for breakfast. I was on the phone with Krystal catching up as we don't work together anymore. Talan was being a good helper, Kendall was playing on the kitchen floor. As I turned with the pan in my hand to put them in the oven, it fell out of my hand onto Kendall and the floor. I felt bad for laughing and getting my phone to take a picture, but I knew no one would understand if I didn't have proof. I undressed Kendall and put her in the shower, blueberries dripping from her hair and face. Poor girl. I cleaned everything up and started over. The second batch an hour later sure was yummy though.

Baby girl Ylda

On September 9th, we all gathered at Kim and Joe's house to have a gender reveal party for Jay and Ashley. As you can see from the pictures, most everyone thought it was going to be a boy. After some yummy food, they decided it was time to find out. They had a cute set up with paint in balloons that they could throw at a canvas to be used in the babies room. It turned out amazing.  Pink was the color everyone should have been wearing.  We are so happy to welcome another baby into this growing family of ours. Congrats Jay and Ashley.

Adrians birthday

On Saturday, September 8th we went to Adrians birthday party. It was a real Mexican fiesta. They did have a bounce house for the kids. There was yummy Mexican food and 2 pinatas.  All of the kids got there swing at them including Talan. He loved it. Talans soccer teammate Joseph was also there.

Blitz summer 2012

Another soccer session comes to an end. We moved the boys up to the next division, under 6, when our boys are 3, 4, and 5. It took a couple of games to get the hang of the new rules and the bigger boys, but I do believe they did a great job for the most part.  The only new boys to join us this season were Aiden and Max. Team members were Talan, Adrian, Joseph, Mattias, Liam, Kason, Max, Aiden and Darian.

Jack's birthday

On Saturday, we went to Jumpstreet for a birthday party for Jack who used to play on Talan's soccer team. Jumpstreet is an indoor trampoline park. It is surely a workout for kids and adults alike. Randy was tired from jumping after about 20 minutes. There's not much for Kendall to do, but Talan loves it. We had pizza and cake. Jack sure has grown since taking a season off. Happy 4th birthday, Jack!

Soccer champs

Randy is the coach of a coed indoor soccer team that plays on Friday nights. After a couple of heartbreaking seasons coming in second we finally won. Last season we lost in a shootout. This season we won in shootout. It was a hard fought and physical game. Congrats to our team!

Lake day Wednesday

Randy invited one of the boys from our soccer team and his family to go on the boat with us this week. Adrian has been with us for 4 seasons now. It has been amazing watching him grow alongside Talan. His dad, Robert is just as competitive as Randy and me so we have a good time together. It was super windy this day but we still had a good time. Adrian's sisters rode the tube a few times and Randy threw them off. Adrian and Robert rode too but didn't like it as much. Randy and talan went but it was so rough Talan didn't want to do it for Long. After a couple hours out, we went and had dinner at Los Charros.
