Day 4 St. Kitts and St. Nevis

We finally made it to our first destination.  Our excursion wasnt leaving until the afternoon, so we got off the boat early to look through the shops.  I paid $20 to hold some silly monkeys. Our excursion was supposed to be a guided tour through the rainforest and island.  We thought we were driving our own jeeps. However, that was not the case. We were on some modified trucks in a caravan of about 8 different trucks.  They took us through what seemed to be the poor part of the island up through the rainforest.  We stopped at a house on top of the peak to take some pictures and hear some history of the island.  We finished our tour at a beach and restaurant that were questionable.  Randy seems to think they were letting raw sewage out into the ocean. It's what it looked like.  I will say that this is the first excursion we have been on that we felt disappointed.
We got back to the shiip and napped before dinner. We were back in the main dining room tonight.  After dinner we hung out on the promenade waiting for the 80s party.  This was my favorite.  We sang along to every song and danced the whole time.

Cruising Day 3

Day 3 was another day at sea.  We spent time at the pool today.  They did the belly flop contest.  It was kind of disappointing.  The biggest guy always wins, even when he's not good. We also watched a little parade/show they did on the promenade.  Different things to keep you busy during the day. We also watched the Family Fued game show.  That was funny.  The answers some of these people came up with were hilarious.  We had dinner at Izumi the hibachi restaurant.  We had a great chef who seemed dilerious, so dinner took a little longer than what we are used to but it was really good.  We then went to the ice skating show.  The things these people can do in such a small space is amazing!

Cruising day 2

Day 2 is a cruising day spent at sea.  We spent some time in the morning hanging out at the sports bar.  We watch the tennis final and some cricket.  We met a nice family from Scotland that was able to explain cricket to us.  It made it much more interesting to watch knowing the rules.  Tonight was formal night.  We had dinner in the main dining room.  I had filet and I thought it was great.

Cruise Day 1

We arrived at the port early for the first time ever on a cruise. I was excited to get on the ship and get all of the logistics out of the way so we could enjoy the full day on board.  We were cruising on the Symphony of the Seas which is the largest cruise ship in the world!! We hung out for a bit, finally got into our room and then were able to be on deck for the sail away.  We had dinner in the Solarium.  It was really good.  It's a buffet but with better food than the everyday buffet offered in the Windjammer.  We were able to see Hairspray and the water show called Hiro.  Both were really good.  We then waited until the balloon drop at midnight and then headed off to bed.

Miami stop 1

Randy and I took off for Miami this morning for our cruise. This was supposed to be our adults only vacation, but that all fell through.  So, we went anyways. We arrived in the afternoon and went to the hotel.  We changed clothes and walked downtown to have dinner at a seafood restaurant.  We were able to walk there and back which was nice. The food was good.  Atmospher was pretty upitty.  We ended up in bed pretty early unfortunately.  But it had been a long day.
