The BIG 35!

My day started off working like any other Saturday morning.  I was having a pretty good morning.  I had a few regulars come in to see me before Christmas.  I had been waiting on 1 couple in particular for about a year now every other Saturday. We got to talking about what we were doing that night and Christmas coming up.  They had lunch and on their way out they acted liked normal.  When I went back to the table to get their receipt this is what I saw...I about fell to the floor.  I had never had someone do this for me.  Randy had someone do this for him back in college and he has since then tried to always pay it forward.  I had to text mom and show her because she had tipped our waitress at dinner the night before very well.  I told her thanks for the good karma!

After work, I went and got a new dress to wear for the evening out.  It made me feel really skinny so I was in love.  We had been planning this night for awhile.  Veronica had just turned 25 so we were celebrating big birthdays for both of us.  We decided it would be fun to rent a limo  so that none of us had to drive.  We all met at the house and exchanged some gifts before we headed out for dinner.

This bottle was empty when we got home.....

Of course my phone was dead by the time we went to dinner so these are all the pictures I got.  We had dinner at The Capital Grille in Uptown.  It was really nice.  The food was amazing and we were all completely stuffed by the time we left.  We then went to Renfield's in Uptown.  It was cold and the place was packed.  We found an area by an outside firepit and overhead heaters and it wasn't too bad.  We decided to hop down the street to another bar.  That place was even more packed.  Karli and I couldn't stop laughing trying to get to the stupid bar to order drinks.  We finally pushed our way through and then had to down our drinks because everyone was annoyed with how busy it was.  The highlight of this bar was a stupid girl in a short white dress riding the bull, not once, but twice  and falling off for the whole world to see her goods.  STUPID!!! Anyways, we left and went to the bar next door and it was not as packed.  We all found seats and it was inside.  When we finally made it upstairs they were playing some really good dancing music.  A few of us danced until they shut it down.  The limo came back and picked us up and we got home around 3am.  It was a really fun night with some of my best friends.

Birthday dinner

We went to Uncle Julio's to celebrate mom's and my birthday. Everyone was there except Jeremy and Billy who had to work. It was a really nice time and a fun tradition for our family.  The kids were all awesome. Dinner was good and Mom and I got some awesome gifts!  We really appreciate everyone coming as this is a very busy time for everyone.

Talan's Christmas party

Kendall and I went to school today to spend time with Talan during his school Christmas party.  They had snacks, decorated a gingerbread boy and girl cookie and opened a present.  Each child received a book as their gift.  I thought this was a really good idea.  Talan gets 2 weeks off for Christmas break. Hopefully we will be busy enough to keep from getting bored at home.

Happy Birthday Baylee

Karli decided to do Baylee's birthday during the day at their house.  She set up a tea party for all of the girls.  She spent a lot of time decorating and it was awesome.  Baylee got a lot of new toys and all of the girls had a lot of fun playing together.
Happy 4th birthday Baylee!

Happy 3rd Birthday Parker!

We got to spend a fun day at Great Wolf Lodge for Parker's 3rd Birthday.  We had pizza, salad and cake for lunch.  Parker got some pretty cool presents from everyone.  After we sang happy birthday and opened presents, we all changed and went to the waterpark.  Everyone had fun especially the kids.  Talan and Kendall spent a majority of their time going down the slides in the kid area.  Talan is big enough to go down one of the other slides, so he and Randy went.  Joanna, Jayme, Macy and I went down 2 of the big slides.  It was a lot of fun listening to Joanna scream all the way down. After about 5 hours of swimming and sliding we were all getting pretty worn out, so we called it a day. We really enjoyed our time with everyone.  Thank you Joanna and Billy for being such gracious hosts.

Winter Weather

We had our first winter weather storm come through last night.  There wasn't a lot of snow, but the ice was thick and dangerous.  Basically everything was shut down.  Randy didn't go to work and Talan didn't have school. We, along with  Karli, Jonathan and their kids decided to get out.  We were going to go across the street to the new movie theatre to see Frozen.  As we were driving up we noticed the power was out.  So, I looked online to see if there were showings down by the mall.  It showed there were so we drove down there.  Well, we got there and they weren't open yet. So, we went into Kirkland's and did a little shopping.  Walked over to Dick's and browsed there and then went to Friday's for lunch waiting for the theatre to open.  Finally, they opened at 2.  There were lots of people at the movies.  I guess we weren't the only ones that didn't want to be cooped up all day.  The movie was amazing.  I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.  The rest of the day we just spent at home.

We like to read!!!

Mom and Dad got all of the kids a book to read each day leading up to Christmas.  I can't imagine all of the time it took her to wrap all of the books.  Talan and Kendall were so excited everyday to open a new book.  There were a few days that I skipped so that both of them would have a book to open at the same time.  It was an amazing gift that we will have forever.  I am not sure we could say thank you enough!  I hope these pictures show how excited they were.  Thank you Mom and Dad!
