Lake Ouachita Day 3

We got up super early on Sunday to go on a guided striper fishing tour.  It was really cold.  It took us about 15 minutes to get to our spot.  It was a slow start.  Paul caught the first fish.  These fish were big compared to the last tour we went on.  They did not want to be caught.  They were between 8 and 12 lbs a piece.  Each person was allowed 3 fish.  Once we got going it was not long before everyone was at their limit.  The poor guide couldn't get them off the line and baited quick enough.  At one point we had 3 fish sitting in the boat and 1 on a hook in the water.  We were done by 7:45am.  It ended up being a lot of fun.  We went back to the dock and he cleaned and bagged them for us.  When we got back to the house boat, Debbie decided to clean them up a little better.  I am glad she did or they would have tasted real fishy.

David and Melinda had to leave that morning.  We had breakfast and saw them off.  We were sure glad they came even though it was a short visit.

That afternoon they came to move us to a different spot again.  When we got to our new spot everyone decided to do a little swimming and paddle boarding again.  Some people explored the new island.  I was cooking enchiladas for dinner tonight.  After dinner, we once again made a fire.  Tonight Anna and I played chubby bunny.  Stupid game but fun times.  It was another beautiful night on the lake with a clear sky to see every star.
