Talan turns 8!!!

We started our week by going to our usual birthday hotspot, Benihanas. 

 Talan decided he wanted to have a roller skating party for his birthday this year.  It was different than years passed.  I remember going to the skating rink all the time when I was growing up.  Unfortunately it seems like a thing of the past.  We had so many people come out to celebrate with us.  Talan had so much fun.

 Later that evening, the framily got together to have dinner and play some Top Golf.  It's hard to get together often these days because everyone is so busy.  But we make it work.

Spring Break 2016

It was a rainy spring break but we managed to fit in a few fun things. We went to see Zootopia with some friends.

We went to the Sea Life Aquarium at Grapevine Mills mall. It was fun. The kids enjoyed it. I felt like it was a bit expensive but I guess I understand in order to take care of the animals and tanks.

We walked around the mall for a bit. We were meeting some friends for lunch. I think I did a good job of wearing them out!

Parker comes to visit

Mom and Dad were keeping Parker for the week and came up to visit on Saturday. They came to Talan's soccer game, we went to dinner at Dos Charros and they came over to the house to hang out for awhile. It was so great seeing him if only for a day.

Valentine's party at school

We always love going to school with Talan for his holiday parties. This year the kids made Valentine cards to send the nursing home here in Wylie. I thought that was sweet. Kendall even got to get in on the action.
