Football championship

Randy joined the North Texas Longhorns this season to play semi pro football. We really struggled to find any competition this season. I think total, our competition scored 21 points against us all season. We played the Denton County Rhinos for the TUFL championship.  Randy got to kick a field goal in the game. He also made all of his extra kicks. We beat them 63-21. Now we wait to see if we get invited to a bowl game. If we do get invited it will be in Las Vegas. Everyone get ready for a trip!

Happy birthday Randy

We went to Benihana for Randy's birthday, of course. We were joined by wonderful friends and family. Randy really likes RGIII, so the kids and I got him a jersey. We also got him a tool he had asked for. Dinner was good as always. Happy birthday to the best husband, father and friend we could have asked for. We love you!

July 4th, 2013

This year for 4th of July, we went to our first FC Dallas soccer game. Randy had found the tickets on groupon.  It offered an onfield experience prior to the start of the game.  Little did we know we would be standing in the beaming sun for about 30 minutes just to watch players warm up.  Once they went into the locker room, we paraded down the field. I was thinking it would have been more like the welcoming line for the players entering the field.  I was a little disappointed in the level of play by these pro players.  There was a lot of walking and kick ball being played.  The highlight of our evening was the firework show after the game was over.  It lasted around 20 minutes.  The kids definitely enjoyed that part of the day. 

 

 

Sunday funday

Thanks to Dad for always cooking an amazing dinner. I know its not easy cooking something that that many people will like, but he always manages to do so. Mom always does dessert. And its yummy.

Hawaiian Falls

On Monday, we met up with everyone at the Hawaiian Falls in Mansfield. We rented a cabana. It is definitely the way to go if u have a big group. It was quite chilly in the water. All of the kids were running around shivering with purple lips but they seemed to enjoy themselves anyway. Aaron took Talan to ride a tube ride. I think Talan enjoyed it. We left about 230 to head home. I was trying to avoid traffic and I knew it was going to be a fight against sleep to get home. We made it home and slep for about 2 hours. Its a lot of fun to go but it seriously wipes us out.

Sunday Fun day

We went over to mom and dad's for Sunday fun day. Maybe we should start calling it zoo day.....LOL. I love my big family, but it sure can be interesting when everyone is there. We got there early after Talan's soccer game so the kids could swim. After dinner, we were able to get pictures of all the grandkids. Everyone cooperated for the most part. Its hard trying to get 7 little ones to all look at the camera at once. We also got a family shot, minus Billy. I'm not sure why I don't have that picture.
